It was only recently that I stumbled upon tilt-shift photography. While the process requires a special lens, you can create this effect in the post-production stage with digital photographs using Photoshop. The mesmerizing aspect of tilt-shift formats is that it distorts the focus and scale of the subject, making them appear to be miniature figurines.Using a Canon A540, "Evil Penguin" created a time-lapse video of Saigon applying a tilt-shift aspect -- the short reel was posted on You Tube by "jnvdub" (who I'd love to talk to if anyone happens to know how to get in touch). The video is a beautiful perspective of Saigon's most notable streetscapes.
I'm snatching this one to share w/ my filmmaking class. Am trying to work on a city portrait of Hue, the conventional way :-/
I should probably come clean and source my reference(http://michaelsieburg.wordpress.com/)who I believe you know!
A fabulous piece of work but ... the Title? Isn't there a little F missing from it?
RE AMASC: that's too funny. My neurological connectors were obviously not picking up on that one. Thanks for the correction!
